Acciones:
The group took part in the building’s interior stairs through
lines drawn using the technique known as chain stitch. Each member
would begin the act at one of the stairholders and would move on as
the line expands.

Artists: Puntos Suspensivos, Rafael Vargas Suárez, HVW8 (Heavyweight), DZINE, Braulio Espinosa (Producto INC) Art Tracking y VJ Demencia.

The group collected the official catalogue of Sun Com ArtNites, a
compilation of the six-year history of carrying out this event. This
book was distributed among the guests. The participants at this
production were: Rosemarie Perea, Natalia Martinez, Melissa Sarthou,
Wilmarie Ramos Valentin, Rafael Vargas Bernard, Rafael Miranda,
Vanessa Hernandez Gracia and Marilis Aveillez. Each one of them executed
a step in the final products assembling.

Acciones en vivo en 356.

Counting sand grains. Two chairs, a small table, two people sitting
in front of each other; one of them takes a handful of sand and starts
counting them one by one (once in a while he would take notes with a
pencil in a small notebook) while the other one observes; once the
performance is over, they switch roles. During the whole night, the
table had been used by two members of the group: Abdiel Segarra and
Wilmarie Ramos.


That which cannot be painted. During 6 minutes and 20 seconds,
Rafael Vargas Bernard listens to a remix of a song authored by Ramito,
in which the singer criticized the 1960’s generation of painters for
not reflecting in their works the pain and suffering experienced
during that time. Each time the song repeats some word related to
painting, Vargas would slap in his face.


Celebration Object: Karlo Andrei Ibarra reflects upon the island’s
current social, political and economical order’s problematic through a
physical de-construction (convert them into confetti and putting it
into a piñata) of the negative headlines appearing in the newspaper
coming up then after a half-toned celebration. Ensemble members
Melissa Sarthou, Natalia Martinez and Rafael Miranda read out loud the
headlines while Ibarra executes the de-construction.


Moving money inside the gallery. Rafael Vargas Bernard drags a penny
on the floor with his nose from the gallery’s entrance to the street
outside.

PUNTOS SUSPENSIVOS in 356. Performances, objects and documentation
proposes for one night to transform Gallery 356 to a Performance’s
Container through a presentation of photographic and videographic
documentation.of our past projects. An installation of objects from
these projects and the live execution of proposals.

Contar Arena - acción. Abdiel Segarra-Ríos y Wilmary Ramos Valentín

Acción: The performance consisted in counting a handful of sand. Somehow
experiencing the uthopia closed-by while somebody waited. The nature
of this very project(I think) motivated the waiting person to join in
the effort of counting. At the end both participants counted sand
grains for about 3 hours, bringing a total closed to 3500 grains.

Acción: During the exposition’s opening the group distributes invitation
notes to the attendants. The invitations diffuse the rumor of a
Performance Fair Celebration entitled ART ISN’T FAIR. The performance
is part of PROJECT 21 CITIES AT ONCE, an international event in which
a series of performances are executed simultaneously in different
world’s cities.
